Been M.I.A - Birthday - Fashionary !!

My apologies for my lack of posts this past week. It's been a very busy one, first It was my 20th birthday on the 22nd June. The image above is a bunch of cupcakes (my favourtie) that my mum had baked for me...best evuurrr ! Since it was a weekday I couldn't do much, spent it with my family and boyfriend.
Thanks to my boyfriend for the lovely gifts he gave me. One of the gifts he gave me was the Fashionary Diary :) LOVE IT!  check it out here . it's amazing, it contains important fashion information and a beginners way to start designing.

I also started my internship at Grazia Magazine - It was amazing ! started of with an extremely busy day first going too Prada store with Jess (other inter) running errands, doing returns, packing up the clothes and accessories for photo shoots etc

My PR Internship

I'm currently doing a PR internship at EVHPR. It's one of the best PR Agencies in Australia, with clients such as Josh Goot, Ellery, Bassike, Gala, Fernando Frisoni and SOOO much more !!
Although I'm just an intern, it's an extremely busy environment. I'm constantly doing something from collecting all the returns, send outs of the samples to magazines who may use it for a spread, scanning of the media releases that EVH has done for the clients whilst cleaning up the area too.
Aside all the busy-ness of the office, there's also some good in it like being surrounded by beautiful clothes and learning how the fashion PR environment works. I'm learning so much and I'm surrounded by such nice people it makes my internship a lot better.

I think internships are a really great way to experience how it all works. I'm learning so much - While doing a PR Internship I found out just recently that I will also being an internship at Grazia Magazine I'm very excited about this to experience the different environment of a PR agency to that of a magazine. (i will post about my Grazia internship next time)

JOYRICH X GIZA S/S11

As you know I'm pretty in lurvveee with Mademoiselle Yulia and her style and or quite some time now I've been keen on posting something about the collaboration between her Accessories label Giza (check out images here) and Joyrich Clothing( check it here)

Top Pick for off duty models

These are my top 14 picks for the 'Models Off Duty Harpers Baazar'
I picked this bunch because its got everything I would wear. Fur coats, oversized scarves, coats and jackets etc. I love fur coats (i prefer faux fur which I'm sure what the models are wearing are not faux), you can wear the most casual thing and as soon as you put on a fur coat, you're instantly fa-bu-lous ! Im still wondering about looking for the perfect faux fur coat. With the rest of the images I chose it because I love the casual-feel-but-still-looking-great-look. The oversized military jacket are just so warm and comfy. Anything loose and oversized - i'm totally sold !

2011 CFDA

So CFDA was held in New York about two days ago. For those who don't know what CFDA (The Council of Fashion Designers of America) it is a non-for-profit trade show which recognizes the top creative talent.

First of I wanted to start by mentioning Lady Gaga's towering heels ! They were amazing and I can't imagine how hard it must have been to walk in them lovelies, so props to her for doing that. She actually won the CFDA Fashion Icon award (who did not see that one coming?). Not to mention I loved that corset gown by Thierry Mugler. AAAAMAZING !

Tyler's New Video feat Frank Ocean

She - Tyler the Creator feat Frank Ocean. This is from his new album Goblin. This album is crazy good, this is the second album released by Tyler, 'Bastard' being the first album. I suggest you listen to both his albums to really understand the difference between the two. Although the beats are similar and still so crazy, Goblin seems a little more on the side of what he really feels (as cheesy as that may sound) but man you can just tell this kid has a lot of anger but that's what makes his music so good.

Most amazing customized Vans !

Vans never looked so good. These are all customized vans by Robert Verdi and are all made from old Hermes scarfs that belong to him. AMAZING ! I want all of them !

Wool and the Gang

Wool and the Gang are the creators of beautifully comfy and simple knitwear. The wools used to make these lovelies are all the way from The Andean Highlands, and each piece is carefully hand knitted by women local to Titicaca so each piece is a unique one. These pieces will definitely keep you warm during these cold winter days. They have a bunch of different designs from vests, sweaters, tank tops, cardigans and bra (to list a few), who knew you could do so much with knitting !!
When I seen the S/S 11 collection I couldn't believe you could actually knit something so pretty, this takes skills and a lot of time. Since i seen this it makes me want to start knitting, but I know i could never create something so sweet like they do in Wool and the Gang.
