Megan Park Photo shoot

It was such a nice day today. For the first time it was sunny and I was at a shoot in the beautiful Clovelly Beach. I got to be a stylist assistant to Virginia Van Heythuysen (you can see some of her styling here ) for the Megan Park shoot (you can see her collection here Here).
Such a great team with a joker and very nice and amazing photographer Harold David (you can see his amazingggggg photographs Here)
The collection was very indian/hawaiian inspired, colourful prints, bead detailed and flow flow chic !not only that but she's got a very unique collection of bangles and necklaces. When i seen the collection it reminded me very much of a modern day hippy. It had a lot of colourful prints, beadings and the pieces were not fitted, more of a flowyness to it. To me it had a sort of Indian and African tribal inspired colours and prints that would be familiar to the hawaiian style. All and all it was a very very unique collection.

bangles and necklaces.

Friperie shoot

The other day my friend Abigail (pictured above) had asked me to do her shoot for her little shop blog Friperie here The theme was ' A Winter Wonderland'. Every season Abigail sells her previously loved pieces on her little shop blog, and it's truly a great way to pass on pieces and especially one that's affordable and one that no one else would have.
It was such a horrible weather in Sydney, changing every 10 minutes but luckily we caught a bit of sun so we took some shots outside. Most of the shots were taken inside.

The images shown on my blog are photo's I've personally edited. But check out Abigail's collection and edits of the images on her shop blog - Friperie

We Are Handsome

Walked into my internship the other day to find this jaw dropping, inspirational and creative pieces of a collection by Indhra Chagourys and Jeremy jules Somers from We Are Handsome (here) . I heard about We Are Handsome along time ago and had been meaning to blog about them but seeing their collection up and close was amazingg ! every time I had nothing to do I would go back to the pieces, stare at them with admiration and love - as though I was obsessed...and i think i might be ! And what I love the most is all the pieces come in my size (seeing as im a petite lady).
They're designs are different full of wonderful prints from wolfs, gardens, galaxy, peacocks the list goes on !
I love that the designs are so simple with fitted low back dress, leotards, tights and swimwear. Although the designs may be simple the prints make it complete. They're cute, sexy and colourful and 100% Australian Designed and sewn ! There are some seriously amazing designers coming from here and its great ! cant wait to get me a piece !!
AMAZING !

I was also given quite a bit of lookbooks the other day to keep. It's great to have them around so I know the latest pieces for the season and also what pieces was of old season - Got some for We Are Handsome, Givenchy, Super fine, Dita Eyewear, Bassike, Scanlan and Theodore etc.

WORLD

next, next door to my PR Internship in Paddington is the WORLD Boutique full of vintage pieces, surprisingly dirty mouthed plate and nice little nick knacks and some bathroom needs. They're having a sale right now, so get in quick to find great pieces.
I went there the other day during my lunch break, I didn't have enough time to walk around far so I only got to WORLD.

Dion Lee

The other week I was in the fashion closet in Grazia. I was sorting out send outs and returns. I came across some of Dion Lee's collection and fell in love ! I haven't exactly gotten a look at his collection properly so today I decided to look.
Below are images from his spring 2011 Lookbook.

The technicality, the print material, the draping, the geometric cuts and the classic art technique...whats not to love?
